Your messages are checked here, on your phone, and the analysis works offline. Nothing about a message leaves the phone unless you send it yourself or turn on a setting that clearly says so.
In detail (from Settings → How your data is handled):
- Message text never leaves your phone, except when you forward, share or export it yourself, or ask for a Deep check (you see exactly what is sent first; numbers, e-mail addresses and your name are hidden).
- Phone numbers never leave your phone automatically. You can report a number yourself.
- Attachments never leave your phone.
- Links are only checked online if you turn that on, and then only as short anonymous fingerprints.
- Short links are only expanded if you turn that on.
- Threat lists are downloaded from public sources; nothing about you is uploaded.
- An account is optional. Linking this phone sends its public keys, an install number and a Google Play check to our server, never your messages or contacts. You can remove the phone at any time.
- With the free features, one sponsored card appears on the Security tab. To choose it, the app sends only its language, your country and its version (and a creator's code if you installed the app through a creator's link). Nothing about you, this phone or your messages is used.
- There are no analytics, crash reports or advertising IDs.
- Everything 1krBlocker stores is encrypted on this phone.
Nothing is ever sent for you. Reporting, forwarding and sharing open a message or menu you check and send yourself. Deep check shows exactly what will be sent before you tap Send.
