Testing a rule before saving it

At the bottom of the rule editor, Test this rule shows what the rule would do, before it's saved.

1. Paste a message, or Or pick a received message with Search messages.
2. Under Pretend it’s from, choose who it's from: An unknown number, A contact, A trusted sender or A sender name (e.g. “InfoSMS”).
3. Tap Test. You see Matches or Doesn’t match, and the result: "With this rule: …/100 · … · …" (score, level and decision).

Run on existing messages goes further: it shows how many of your messages from the last 90 days the rule would have matched. A rule that matches a lot more than you expected is probably too broad.

Testing never changes any message.
