1krNote's AI features run on Google Gemini. Only what they need is sent, and only when you use them:
- During a voice chat: your voice, the notes the assistant finds for your question, and camera pictures only while you turn the camera on. Calls aren't recorded or stored by us.
- For search by meaning: the text of your notes goes to our server, which asks Gemini for a search index and keeps nothing; the index is stored on your phone.
- Your assistant settings: its language and any instructions you wrote.
Never sent: photos and videos in notes, voice memos, your contacts (names are looked up on the phone), and notes the assistant didn't need.
Whose key: on Pro and Max we use our own paid Gemini access, under which Google doesn't use the data to train its models. On Starter, the AI runs on your own Gemini key under your own terms with Google; free API tiers may let Google use the data to improve its products.
