When you add your own AI key to your 1kr account, Starter becomes free for you, until we change it. You don't enter a card, and we'll tell you before anything changes.
How to get it:
- Sign in at 1kr.uk and open AI key.
- Choose your provider and paste your key (see "Adding your own AI key").
- The app's plan shows Starter (free).
It starts once per account, when the first key is added while the app is on the free plan.
What you get: everything in Starter: 1krBlocker's Deep check and knowledge pack, 1krNote's AI assistant (with a Gemini key), on 1 phone. While Starter is free, the apps show the same sponsored cards as the free plan.
Which key: 1krBlocker works with a Google Gemini or OpenAI key; 1krNote's AI needs a Google Gemini key. A Gemini key works in both apps.
When it ends: about a month before, the website overview says "Your free Starter ends soon. To keep Deep check, choose a plan." and the apps show the end date. After that the app goes back to the free plan, unless you choose a plan. Your notes, messages and settings stay as they are.
