First, when a reminder is due: 1krNote reminds you 2 hours before a note's date and time. If that's already past when you save the note, the reminder comes at the note's time instead. Notes in the past get no reminder.
- A note without a time counts as midnight at the start of its day, so its reminder comes at 22:00 the evening before.
- Only to-do notes get reminders, and only one per note.
If reminders don't arrive at all:
On Android
- Notifications must be allowed. 1krNote asks the first time you save a note with a time. If you said no: open your phone's Settings → Apps → 1krNote → Notifications and turn them on.
- Allow "Alarms & reminders" (Android 12 and newer): Settings → Apps → 1krNote → Alarms & reminders. Without it, Android may deliver reminders late.
- Battery saving can delay or stop reminders on some phones (often Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei): in Settings → Apps → 1krNote → Battery, choose "Unrestricted" or turn off optimisation for 1krNote.
- In 1krNote, check Settings → Notifications: Screen Alert and Audio Alert should be on.
Reminders are set again automatically when the phone restarts.
On iPhone
- Open Settings → Notifications → 1krNote and turn on Allow Notifications (or use Open iPhone notification settings in the app).
- Check that a Focus mode (Do Not Disturb, Sleep) isn't silencing 1krNote.
Still nothing? Edit the note and save it again: this sets its reminder again. Make sure its date and time are in the future, at least a few minutes ahead.
